Why Choose Us?
Dealing with an insurance company when making a claim is similar to going to court, would you turn up to court without legal representation? Would you let the advisors of the opposing party tell you what you are entitled to sue for? Or would you be smart enough to hire your own advisors to show you the best possible ways to succeed? If you answered yes to the last question, then stop reading and contact us immediately to get the best help possible. However, if you are still not convinced, then continue below.
We deal with claims every day. It’s not part of our business; it’s the ONLY thing we do. After you contact us, we usually come out to assess the damage first. Our experience enables us to not only look at the visible damage, but also damage that may not be obvious to the untrained eye. The adjuster might, for example, suggest that you take up some flooring and put it down after the repair is done, but with our experience, we know that the floor never reverts back to its original standard. Should you be left with a damaged floor, full of cracks and uneven surfaces? We don’t believe you should, so we will fight to get you a brand-new floor that is fully covered by your policy. For instance, you might want to tile your kitchen floor instead of putting back down a wooden floor, with us appointed you have a much higher likelihood of getting this change accepted.
Working in this industry for so long has given us the opportunity to build professional relationships with insurers and loss adjusters, which helps the process go smoothly. When we call out to assess your damage, we create a detailed report with costings. PCLA then meet with your insurance company’s loss adjuster at your premises. We go through our detailed report with the adjuster and explain everything we will be claiming for on your behalf. When PCLA are involved loss adjusters immediately know that no stone will be left unturned when assessing the damage, we are known for being very meticulous and going through everything with a fine-tooth comb.

We recommend you contact us before contacting your insurance company and allowing us to submit the claim, however if you have already contacted your insurance company that is fine too. In our experience for example people who have risked going it alone and got their first offer, it is not uncommon for us to be able to double that first offer after we get involved and in some cases we have seen 3 to 5 times increase in the final settlement after we are appointed. Although there is a fee associated with hiring any loss assessor, our records indicate that you the client receive a larger net settlement with us involved than you would have without us involved. If we don’t achieve a settlement for you then we don’t charge anything at all, it’s a NO-WIN NO-FEE agreement, you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain.
Making a claim is confusing time consuming and overwhelming when facing it on your own, it is an extremely stressful process in a time of loss or trauma, where you will have lots of questions but no one to answer them. Your insurance company may start quoting the complexities of what is written in the small print of your contract, they can then state that this small print means your not entitled to as much or anything at all. With PCLA on your side we will take away all the stress of making a claim, we too understand the complexities and small print, we can use these to your benefit and we will keep you informed every step of the way. We know the process and how long each step should take, we apply pressure if we notice any delays in the process, which results in a speedy and effective settlement.
